A Practice Built on
Scholarship and Experience
Kanwall Walia holds an LLB from Panjab University, Chandigarh — one of the oldest and most respected law faculties in northern India. That academic foundation has underpinned a practice spanning the full hierarchy of Indian courts, from the district bench to the Supreme Court of India.
As an advocate, she has represented government departments, public institutions, private corporations, banks, and individuals — navigating quasi-judicial tribunals, high courts, and the apex court with equal comfort. Her practice covers civil and criminal litigation, drafting of agreements and legal documents, and arbitration for both government bodies and private parties.
She brings over 18 years of distinguished practice before the Supreme Court of India and the High Courts of Punjab & Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi. Her clientele extends pan-India and across the globe, encompassing constitutional, commercial, and infrastructure disputes, arbitration, corporate and banking law, SARFAESI and DRT proceedings, land and revenue matters, RERA litigation, intellectual property enforcement, medico-legal litigation, and complex civil and criminal cases.
She has represented government departments, public authorities, financial institutions, infrastructure developers, medical professionals, and NRI clients in high-stakes and precedent-setting matters — including structuring and vetting the documentation for an INR 1,200 crore loan transaction between the State Bank of India and the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority for the prestigious Aerocity Project, Mohali.
Recognised for her meticulous drafting, incisive analytical rigour, and a commanding yet composed courtroom presence, she consistently delivers strategically astute and legally robust outcomes. An avid scholar and writer, she is presently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law — reflecting an enduring commitment to intellectual growth and professional excellence.
